Installed photovoltaic capacity grew in first half 2024, with data released by Terna showing 3,341 MW, a strong 44% increase versus the same period of 2023.
While power increases, the number of installed plants decreases, due to a sharp slowdown in residential plants and the conclusion of the Superbonus program.
A point worth mentioning is that at 30 June 2024, the total photovoltaic capacity in operation in Italy reached 33,623 MW, with a total of 1,763,977 plants installed.
Lastly, over the past twelve months, photovoltaic capacity increased by 6,253 MW, with 339,991 new plants becoming operational.
