- the diversification of plant types,
- the increase in installed power.

There are 1,597,447 photovoltaic plants in Italy, with a total installed capacity of 30,319 MW.
Jan-Mar 2023 VS Jan-Mar 2024
1,721 MW was installed in first quarter 2024 for a total capacity of 32,003 MW.
A +63% increase was recorded versus the same quarter last year.
New PNIEC goals
Installed total of at least 79-80 GW. We’re still a long way from achieving this goal!
An average increase of 8 GW per year is needed for the next few years.
