Measures introduced to promote self-production of renewable energy in energy-intensive sectors.
By 8 February 2024, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security is set to establish a mechanism for developing new power generation capacity from renewable sources by energy-intensive companies, based on detailed criteria. This mechanism also allows interested companies to apply to the GSE for a prepayment on part of the electricity produced by newly-built plants.
